Monica Gamez, Psy.D.
Dr. Monica Gamez is a licensed clinical psychologist in Florida.  She received her Doctorate in Psychology from Nova Southeastern University, focusing on clinical neuropsychology.  She completed her internship at Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, FL, as part of the South Florida Consortium Internship Program specializing in acute inpatient treatment.  Following the internship, she completed a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in clinical neuropsychology at Thomson Memory & Attention in Chicago, IL.  During her fellowship, Dr. Gamez gained additional experience conducting neuropsychological evaluations, particularly on neurodevelopmental disorders (e.g., ADHD, autism, learning disorders) and neurocognitive disorders.

Dr. Gamez has been part of the NBI team since 2021 and specializes in neuropsychological evaluations for patients of all ages with complex and comorbid presentations that include OCD, autism, and other neurodevelopmental disorders, and mood disorders which can affect an individual’s neurocognitive and adaptive functioning.  She is bilingual in English and Spanish, and Dr. Gamez is also involved with data collection for research projects at NBI.
